"But there are more people going in and more of them are coming back, so we must be making some progress. Otherwise people like you would just die right?"
There was no way that everyone in the city just got so much better at magic and fighting that suddenly the monsters were less of a threat. There was probably some of that because of the Surveying Association, but was it really enough? Aphaerla really had no idea what the statistics were, but it just made sense that killing off the monsters would make everything better and that there being less monsters meant that people would run into them less and that they would be able to explore more. It only made sense that killing off all the monsters would help everyone.
The next question made her pause for a second, but it wasn't so difficult that she needed to stop this time. It was just a matter of finding the right words.
"Swim one hour a day to warm up. Alternate between cardio and strength building. Rest on Sunday," she nodded. "Then sometimes run around the outer part of the city," she paused, "the part by the wasteland. It's really boring though and takes like all day, so I don't do it that often. It's more of a test than anything. Then sometimes I do things while doing other things to stay active. Like...I'll stand on my hands while watching TV. My arms and core are normally pretty tired after an hour of that. But I think trying to do what I do would kill you. It's probably better to start out with some simple cardio and stretching because it doesn't look like your body's used to moving at all. You can focus on building strength after that. Swimming's good for that, and so are light weights. Go for repetitions over weight or speed. Yoga and stuff like that wouldn't be bad either for improving flexibility."
