Still burning torches line the walls, each tightly wound hallway managing to look exactly like the last. Running across one of the walls is a monster that looks like a small lizard. Then it moves, and suddenly it looks like the space between the bricks. Then it drops to the ground and looks like a small snake. Rather than attacking the explorers directly, it makes them think they're continuing on the right path when in reality, it's sending half the group down one path, and convincing the other group that the other half is still right behind them. The corridor quickly becomes part of its very convincing illusion as the explorers move past it. --- Splitting monster was not bypassed. The party is split. Loot from this room: 1 Total loot so far: 13 The party has 55 energy. No one is injured. Tristan Carter cannot use skills next turn. Etude Amaryllis has been split from the rest of the party Her expedition will continue hereYou can go backward, returning to the surface. You can go to the left, closer to the surface. You can go to the right, further into the dungeon.

Still burning torches line the walls, each tightly wound hallway managing to look exactly like the last. The narrow hallway expands into a spacious room, completely devoid of light. Just entering the room makes anyone with magic feel a little sluggish and like their powers are weaker, though those without magical abilities are unaffected. The walls are still made of the same gray stones the rest of the ruins are made out of, but there are a few other types of rocks sticking out of it. They're all crystalline, and shaped like quartz. They're either a very dark purple or black in color. It doesn't look like they were placed here, as there's no structure or consistency with their placement, and they even cover the floor and ceiling. It looks more like nature overtook this part of the ruins, though there is no plant life in the room, just these strange rocks. By the time the explorers reach the end of the room, the ones with magic might feel a bit tired, potentially to the point of feeling out of breath. In the distance an odd wail can be heard. Loud enough and forceful enough that every time the cry echoes through the corridors the walls vibrate. The explorers aren't alone in this room though. Hidden in the shadows is a humanoid monster, pure black that looks like it's slowly breaking apart. Round dust like particles are floating off of it, then gradually disappointing in the room. With the way its moving, it looks like it's in pain. It dashes towards the explorers and tries to grab some of them. It doesn't appear to be using its two hands to do so, but rather some kind of telekinetic magic power to grab them and pull them away. --- Splitting monster was not bypassed. The party is split. Theodora watched the odd lizard monster. "Weird." She said as she followed close from behind Tristan. However she noticed that Etude had vanished. "Etude? Tristan, Etude's gone, we have to go find her." Theodora quickly asked Tristan, however he was not responding. When Theodora turned she was surprised to see that Tristan was gone, causing her to gasp as Theodora realised she was all alone in this dungeon, which wasn't good as she will be at the mercy of whatever monster she encounters next.
Unless she plans wisely until she reunites with Tristan and Etude, wherever they are in this dungeon. She looked at the two paths in front of her, feeling like there's a monster nearby. Theodora quickly decided to go on the left path, hopefully it would lead her to either, Tristan, Etude or something good. She quickly ran down the path as she took out her flashlight and lit up the way so she can see any oncoming obstacles.
"Tristan, Etude, we never knew each other that much but please be ok." Theodora hoped in her mind, she was almost out of breath.

The hallways continue for awhile longer until the ruins suddenly open up. Instead of narrow hallways, the explorers come across a massive room, large enough that the other side can't be seen in the dim light. There are no torches in the room, so the only light in the area is the light the explorers brought themselves. The room looks completely different from the rest of the ruins as well. Instead of being full of gray stone, the walls are colorful, covered with several different types of stones in various colors. None of the stones look like something found near New Sumatra. They form patterns and pictures, mostly depicting large trees, flowers, and floating islands. However, some of the pictures are difficult to make out because they're full of scratches and other marks. Some of the scratches are large and deep and suggest that whatever creature made them has claws significantly larger than a human head.
The wail is getting louder, and the vibration in the walls more intense. In the distance, there are frequent loud thuds that sound like foot steps from a massive creatures. What ever's causing it is getting closer. It sounds like it's coming from the deepest part of the dungeon.

Theodora was amazed as the ruins opened up, revealing a large but unfortunately dark room. Theo was afraid that she walked further into the room she could fall to somewhere unknown. Not helped by the fact by the sounds of footsteps and wailing nearby, signalling that...Whatever's around the dungeon is getting closer and closer. Theodora was afraid of what might happen if she went deeper into the dungeon, but, she can't leave Tristan and Etude behind, there more in danger than she is, and she needs to find them before...Whatever she's hearing does.
Before Theodora moved forward into the room she noticed the colourful rocks. "Wow colourful rocks in a place like this, amazing." Theodora said out loud before looking at the pictures, which had claw marks from...Something, causing Theo's eyes to widen. "But that's not interesting." She said again out loud as she moved to her left in the room and towards the darkest part of the dungeon, preparing herself for anything that might soon stand in her way.
"Ok monster, i'm ready for what you got!"

As the explorers move to the next room, the sound of heavy footsteps gets louder. With each thud from those steps, loose rocks and other debris move away from the source of the footsteps and towards the explorers. It starts out as smaller movements, as though the floor and walls are shaking, but as they get closer the debris starts flying. The debris is easily being lifted up off the ground and being flung around the room, always away from the source of the footsteps. The wails get louder as the explorers approach. Then the explorers can see the figure that caused those gashes in the wall and it quickly becomes clear that it is not responsible for the wails. The room leads into an even larger room, also bright and decorated with murals. Much like before, the murals depict a large rainforest, floating islands, and people with wings. It doesn't look like the colors on the walls have faded with time either. If they have, then the dyes used must have been especially bright given how vivid the colors on the murals are. The floor is covered with bright tiles; the ceiling is the only bit of gray in the room. At the end of the room is a massive creature. It resembles a large dog, though it's far larger than any dog ever seen in New Sumatra. Even on all fours it's nearly 12 feet tall, making it large enough that it couldn't even fit through most of the corridors in the ruins. Its fur moves, as though it's floating through the air. It waves when the beast is standing still, and has fluid, almost airy, motions when it moves. On each of its paws are three claws, each nearly double the size of a human head. As the explorers approach, those claws are digging into the half a dozen monsters surrounding the beast. As the beast digs into one of the monsters, it lets out a high pitched wail. The wail is enough to make the explorers' bones shake in their bodies, but the beast does not seem particularly bothered by it. It barks then easily rips the monster apart. The monster disappears leaving an even louder wail behind, as though it dissolved into the sound on its death. The beast catches another monster in its massive jaws and bites down hard. The monster explodes into a fireball, but the beast shrugs it off, the fire falling away from its face. It doesn't even look singed after. The beast quickly chews through the rest of the monsters with enough speed that if the explorers blink they might miss it. With all of them out of the way, it turns its attention to the explorers. It leans forward and lets out a deep growl, likely as a warning. The beast hangs back at first, glaring at the explorers. It doesn't move, but the loose debris in the room goes flying anyway. It's as though something pushed everything, hard. The explorers can feel it to. Even if they don't move, they can feel something trying to knock them back with far greater force than most humans could exert, but if they get closer the force is even greater. It's very difficult to resist, especially with all the debris flying. --- Exhaustion boss attack was not bypassed. Party loses 50 energy. Boss room, no loot gained. Total loot so far: 54 The party has 0 energy. No one is injured. The expedition is over The party is out of energy. This expedition has ended. As Theodora walked down further into the dungeon she was attacked by a dog like monster and gasped in shock. "Oh, I really got myself into a pickle this time!" Theodora soon stepped away from the dog like monster. She didn't want to fight it, but she wanted to go further to find Tristan and Etude, she had to quickly decide what to do. Theodora thought and thought and finally decided.
To run.
As Theodora soon made it back to the surface and ran back towards New Sumatra she thought about Tristan and Etude. "Guys, i'm sorry. Please be safe." She thought before heading back into the city, feeling very bad and guilty for leaving her new friends behind without knowing for sure if they were ok. If only she done things more differently, she decided to spend the loot she found on GLORY.
