With no small amount of concentration, Ezra is capable of generating a small amount of highly reactive material. In his hands, at least. While convenient in that he can easily mix it with any number of other chemicals to create a wide variety of explosives and other effects, it takes sitting in a single spot, brow knotted with sheer force of will and hands pressed together for several minutes to create even a milligram of the stuff. As such, he has to prepare all of his materials at home and pack everything he intends to use when he ventures off into the forest.
The other convenience is it can only be activated by his mental command, and if it stays too far away from him for too long, the material becomes inert. Besides acting as a foil for explosive-happy thieves, it’s meant he’s not been able to amass much of a stock and it’d likely go bad even if he did. Even so, he’s sure to never let any leave his apartment unless he plans to immediately trek into the jungle or wasteland.
Ezra’s mutation is quite subtle, as far as mutations go, only changing his finger bones into a dark black. He was himself unaware of his mutation until a small mishap burned one of his fingers deep enough to see the bone.
